Parma-Telecom receives ISO 9001:2008 certification

Parma-Telecom has successfully completed the development and implementation of the quality management system and met the requirements to obtain international standard ISO 9001:2008 certification.

 

The top management team of Parma-Telecom decided to implement the quality management system in compliance with the requirements of international standards in 2008. The project was implemented in less than a year.

The project included several stages: designing of internal organizational processes; development, documenting, and updating of procedures, regulations, job descriptions, and statutes defining department activities.

Diagnostic audit conducted by CJSC Bureau Veritas Rus allowed for the further development and implementation of the documented quality management model. The documentation package included documents required by the Standard as well as internal documents formalizing the company business processes. The following activities were conducted to obtain certification: internal audit, QMS analysis on the part of top management, business meetings with business processes owners. Right before certification, LLC Audit and Management conducted an audit-consulting of the implemented QMS. The certification audit was successfully completed in October, 2009.

Bureau Veritas Certification Rus (part of Bureau Veritas international company group leading founded in 1828) was selected to become a partner in the ISO 9001:2008 certification procedures. The company was selected due to several reasons, first of all, because it is a company of international renown certified by 38 national and international organizations for accreditation. The company employs auditors with necessary expertise in IT-consulting.

The quality management system in compliance with the standards ISO 9001:2008 certification was based on the company’s own Corporate Project Management System (CPMS). Due to this fact, during the certification audit the company was able to encompass the potential certification area including the major business lines of Parma-Telecom: management consulting, implementation and maintenance of enterprise management information systems, organizations and projects, design, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing and process execution systems, system integration.

The auditors gave a high estimate to most company procedures, which have been conducted for a while and have become a tradition for Parma-Telecom employees. Bureau Veritas Certification Rus auditors named strong leadership potential of the top management team, strategic focus on the improvement of services and business in general, customer orientation, and high level of employee competence among the strengths of Parma-Telecom quality management system.

More and more large companies are demanding quality management system certification from their suppliers or at least an independent certification for quality assurance to prove that the company can provide services and products in accordance with the stated requirements.

In accordance with ISO (International Organization for Standardization) procedures, Parma-Telecom will be subject to an annual audit in order to confirm its compliance with the Standard.
